To the website of Holistic Kinesiologist Jess Racklyeft. My clinic room is based in Melbourne, Victoria on Warburton Lane.
Welcome to the website of Holistic Kinesiologist practitioner Jess Racklyeft. Based in the centre of the city, I work from a Japanese healing centre, Sakura Lounge. My focus is bringing healing, creativity, relaxation and direction for my clients.
"Kinesiology, literally the study of body movement, encompasses holistic health disciplines which use gentle muscle testing t
o monitor information about a person's well-being. It originated in the 1960's, combining Western techniques with Eastern wisdom to promote physical, emotional and spiritual health. Kinesiology identifies factors which block the body's natural healing processes. These dysfunctions are rectified by attention to reflex and acupressure points, the use of specific body movements and nutritional support. Kinesiology can relieve pain, stress, muscular and nervous disorders, detect allergies and nutritional deficiencies, assist with psychological and learning problems, stimulate energies and release untapped potential." (Definition officially recognised by British Parliament).
Kinesiology can bring relaxation, understanding and direction for a client. Kinesiologists do not name diseases nor claim to eliminate them, but you can expect to have more emotional clarity and reduced stress around your particular condition or issue after a kinesiology session.
A typical Kinesiology session would first involve discussion about what you would like to work on. This could be
a spiritual, emotional or physical issue that is chronic or a recent problem for you. Often a discussion around the Chinese elements and energy flow assists with clarifying the issue that is priority to work on. Working on a massage table fully dressed, I then work with an indicator muscle to gather feedback from the body about your particular complaint. This image shows the room, a warm inviting space in the centre of Melbourne CBD.
Corrections are diverse, such as neuro-lymphatic massage, acupoints, flower essences, tuning forks and a lot more are then applied. By working directly with the indicator muscle, corrections are often quick and effective. I'll usually be working with principles of the Chinese elements of earth, metal, water, wood and fire to reduce imbalances in meridians.
